Overview

In this role you lead risk-based monitoring activities to safeguard study integrity and data quality. You collaborate with cross-functional leads to shape and update monitoring strategies aligned with project risks and regulatory requirements. You provide expert guidance on risk mitigations, training, and escalation of critical issues to sponsors and internal teams. You work to ensure compliance with ICH/GCP, GPP, and country regulations, while supporting trial readiness and budget alignment. Responsibilities

  • Advise on monitoring strategy development and updates based on study risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads to understand indications and risk mitigations
  • Provide guidance to ensure consistency across programs and sponsors
  • Draft initial risk assessments and coordinate cross-functional input for finalization
  • Ensure risks are correctly tracked and reviewed across the project
  • Advise on functional plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Assess data review tools and centralized monitoring for data quality risks
  • Facilitate review of findings with internal teams and sponsor
  • Provide training on risk assessment, centralized monitoring, and risk-based monitoring strategy
  • Plan with other functions to ensure regulatory, safety, QA compliance, and inspection readiness
  • Understand study scope, budget, and protocol; escalate risks to PM as needed
  • Participate in business development activities including monitoring strategy and budget input
