Risk Manager, Counterfeit Crimes Unit

Overview

In this role, you will lead external counterfeit enforcement efforts for Amazon in EMEA, collaborating with attorneys, investigators, and law enforcement. You will identify counterfeit networks, pursue enforcement actions, and disrupt supply chains, while working with brands, regulators, and partners to extend enforcement externally. The position combines legal proceedings, data-driven targeting, and cross-functional coordination to deter bad actors and protect customer trust. You will move fast, take smart risks, and shape scalable solutions in a dynamic, ambiguity-rich environment.

Responsibilities

• Bringing enforcement actions against counterfeiters and other bad actors
• Analyzing internal and external data to identify high-value targets
• Collaborating with law enforcement and rights owners for prosecutions and disruptions
• Coordinating cross-functionally with internal teams to combat counterfeits
• Travel as required
• Engaging with regulators and external partners to extend enforcement impact

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in IP protection and anti-counterfeiting activities
• Experience in investigative work with law enforcement or security agencies
• Fluency in German and English at C1 level or above
• Strong communication skills for external audiences (legal and law enforcement)
• Proactive, independent work style with ability to meet deadlines
