Overview
In this role you drive the strategic development of nuclear safety case capability within AECOM’s Nuclear portfolio. You lead a growing team and act as the primary client contact on safety case delivery, guiding projects from concept to completion. You will shape risk-based approaches, advise on regulatory compliance, and mentor colleagues while expanding the team’s capabilities. This is a high-impact position at the intersection of engineering leadership and nuclear safety culture.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management for the nuclear safety case portfolio, including resource planning and competency maintenance
- Lead strategic safety case delivery on projects and support winning work through bid activity
- Develop client relationships to enable a right-first-time technical delivery
- Advise leadership and clients on regulatory compliance, standards, and safety guidance
- Mentor and coach team members; oversee nuclear safety training and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to multidisciplinary knowledge sharing and stay updated on regulatory changes
Key requirements
- Extensive experience developing nuclear safety cases in the nuclear sector
- Strong leadership with ability to influence engineers in delivering work packages
- Proven track record of full project cycle end-to-end delivery
- Excellent communication skills for technical presentations and peer reviews
- Autonomous work style with a strong commitment and ability to meet deadlines
- Security clearance requirements in the UK (as applicable)
