Overview
As Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, you lead a skilled team to optimize high‑volume medical device manufacturing in a cleanroom. You drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost, while delivering capacity projects on time and within budget. You combine hands‑on leadership with DBS‑driven problem solving to restore and elevate manufacturing capability. You collaborate across functions to ensure reliable, compliant production of life‑saving products. This role offers meaningful impact at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing & Project Engineers within a DBS‑driven culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to world‑class levels to maximise line availability and yield
- Maintain compliant product quality through robust engineering practices and GMP adherence
- Lead engineering projects and ensure achievement of KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost
- Deliver cost savings by improving process capability, productivity, waste reduction and technology integration
- Identify manufacturing continuity risks and drive equipment upgrades to prevent obsolescence and regulatory impact
- Generate and improve documentation (Skills Matrices, Specifications, SPC, Problem Solving, Process Validation, Project Management)
- Collaborate with Reliability, Product Engineering, QARA and Site leadership to meet customer and business needs
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong background in high‑speed automated assembly with robotics, control & vision systems, and advanced plastic assembly/welding (Ultrasonic, RF)
- Proven success in increasing capacity and leading optimization initiatives to improve yield and efficiency
- Experience with change control, validation and structured problem solving (5Whys, A3, Ishikawa, DMAIC, 8D) and data‑driven tools (SPC, OEE)
- Resilient, adaptable leader with strong communication, influence, prioritization and delegation skills
