Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you drive productivity and reduce downtime across operations. You will lead mould shop optimization, standardize processes, and implement best practices to ensure smooth product launches. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools, platforms, and production methods, contributing to a safer, more efficient manufacturing ecosystem. Responsibilities

  • Lead the mould shop to optimize processes for quality and output
  • Standardize and improve manufacturing operations using deep process knowledge
  • Ensure plants meet continuous improvement requirements (TEOA)
  • Implement best practices across plants via CoE & BDPs
  • Optimize tools and machines to boost efficiency
  • Design and implement process and automation platforms for new and existing products
  • Use TE systems (SAP, TLM, CAD) to optimize processes
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure manufacturability
  • Select appropriate manufacturing methods for production needs
  • Mentor junior engineers and align team efforts with business goals
  • Support smooth production ramp-up for new designs
  • Improve productivity and OEE
  • Accelerate time-to-market through FTR processes
  • Develop process documentation including guides, work instructions, and FMEAs
  • Perform other tasks to support business needs

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and quality control methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP, OSHA
  • Experience with quality control methods (FMEAs, run charts, first article inspections)
  • Data analysis and statistical methods for process control/optimization
  • ERP systems proficiency, particularly SAP
  • Knowledge of OEE concepts and continuous improvement strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Experience in supporting product development and ensuring manufacturability
  • Electrical connector manufacturing experience preferred
