Lead Mechanical Design Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the mechanical design effort for major infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and high-quality outputs. You will drive innovation, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and mentor junior engineers within the mechanical team. Your focus includes design review for safety and compliance, and advancing modular, sustainable design solutions across the @one Alliance. This is a hands-on leadership position that shapes project outcomes and customer value.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards
• Champion innovation and digital tools to improve outcomes
• Lead and develop junior engineers within the mechanical team
• Review design outputs for quality, safety, and compliance; support commissioning and CDM strategies
• Build networks across the @one Alliance and promote sustainable, modular design solutions

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; proven mechanical engineering experience
• Strong leadership with track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Deep knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in CAD software and other core engineering tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
