Overview

In this role you drive high-level planning and scheduling for complex programmes, guiding the Integrated Program Controls Team to deliver consistent, efficient project delivery. You’ll partner with project leaders to implement best practices, analytics and continuous improvement, shaping multi-disciplinary plans and risks. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends strategy with delivery, leveraging scheduling expertise to enable informed decisions and successful outcomes across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and ensure team integration across the project controls function
  • Establish partnerships with external employers to develop recruitment strategies and strengthen relationships
  • Lead planning workshops to secure buy-in from project teams
  • Perform impact analysis and monitor schedule variance
  • Lead application of planning/scheduling methods, techniques and tools
  • Provide expert guidance on planning/scheduling, EVM, and project controls methodologies
  • Manage delivery of planning/scheduling for medium/high complexity projects/programmes
  • Lead and develop a high-performing planning/scheduling team
  • Set up effective planning/schedule management systems and procedures
  • Support senior management in deal negotiations, due diligence, and business development
  • Communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively
  • Identify and analyse business risks and influence stakeholders
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations to diverse audiences
  • Capture lessons learned and drive knowledge transfer
  • Drive team integration and collaboration within IPC

Key requirements

  • Expert knowledge of schedule management tools and software
  • Strong planning/scheduling and EVM capabilities
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex project planning
  • Ability to operate in high-uncertainty environments and drive improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills
  • Background in negotiating, due diligence and business development support
  • Degree-educated background (ideal) with relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Asta Power Project, PowerBI, Excel, Acumen Fuse
