Overview
As a Legal Specialist, you will manage end-to-end contract lifecycle and governance to enable software delivery to NHS and public sector customers. You will collaborate with Legal, Sales and Delivery to align contracts with business objectives and procurement norms. You will support AI-enabled legal technologies and vendor management to mitigate risk. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to shape contracting processes in a regulated healthcare/public sector context. You will be part of InterSystems’ UKI Legal team, with travel when needed.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end contract lifecycle support, including pre- and post-signature activities and governance.
- Support tender and bid responses for NHS and public sector procurements.
- Draft, review and negotiate customer and supplier contracts aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide pragmatic contractual guidance to sales and project mobilisation.
- Manage post-signature obligations, change control, and contract variations.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance and key obligations.
- Coordinate management of third-party vendors and subcontractors.
- Support governance and improvement of AI-enabled legal support technologies.
Key requirements
- Minimum 2 years of contract management experience, preferably in healthcare, IT or public sector.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
- Proven experience with contract management processes and lifecycle.
- Experience with legal operations, contract lifecycle platforms, and AI-enabled legal technologies (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of UKI public sector or NHS contracting frameworks (advantageous).
- Ability to communicate complex contractual issues to non-specialists and work in cross-functional teams.
