Accounts Payable Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and evolve a high-volume AP function within a national footprint. You will drive performance, shape processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the business. You’ll partner with Operations, Procurement, Commercial and IT to delivery automation and efficiency gains, using data and BI to identify opportunities. This is a chance to make a visible impact by embedding change and scaling the function in a technology-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance, structure and best practice across the AP team
• Develop and mentor a junior/developing team into a high-performing function
• Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Procurement, Commercial and IT
• Own relationships with suppliers and external tech providers
• Deliver projects focused on automation, systems and process improvement
• Use data, BI and insight to identify trends and opportunities
• Engage with the business early to embed change on-site

Key requirements

• Strong people leadership capable of inspiring and developing a team
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Experience in process mapping, improvement and transformation
• Confidence working with data, reporting and performance metrics
• Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels (internal and external)
• Exposure to projects, systems or technology-driven change
• Background in Finance / AP leadership, Shared Services or finance transformation or finance+IT hybrid
