Senior Buyer

Overview

In this Senior Buyer role, you will source components at optimal cost and ensure timely delivery for watch and accessories production. You will build and manage strategic supplier relationships and contract management to drive improvements in delivery and costs. You will develop procurement strategies aligned with company goals and work across departments to coordinate forecasts, stock levels, and NPI readiness. This is a hands-on role at a values-driven, quality-focused company with an emphasis on process optimization and market insight.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all direct component purchasing across the business
• Develop and manage supplier relationships
• Source new suppliers
• Monitor and analyse current vs historic costs, quantities, FOREX rates
• Negotiate on pricing, quantities, and lead times
• Ensure purchase orders are placed timely for new components (NPI) and monitor delivery
• Action last-minute design changes promptly
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and manage expediting/de-expediting
• Coordinate with all departments on forecasted stock arrival dates
• Produce reports on purchasing activities
• Operate ERP to generate purchase orders aligned with sales forecasts
• Record and maintain accurate purchasing records
• Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market conditions

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
• ERP software experience (Priority desirable but not essential)
