In this role, you lead high-impact structural projects from survey through construction in Manchester, focusing on the appraisal, retrofit and reuse of existing buildings. You will directly manage client and architect relationships and mentor junior engineers, shaping a growing studio within an established practice. You’ll bring strong judgement and pragmatic decision‑making to projects with imperfect information, while contributing to a technically first, sociable culture. Responsibilities
- Lead schemes from feasibility to construction and delivery
- Directly manage architect and client relationships
- Mentor and develop junior engineers on the project team
- Apply judgement and pragmatism to existing-building projects
- Contribute to the growth and shaping of the Manchester studio
- Deliver high-quality technical solutions for appraisal, retrofit, and new build projects
Key requirements
