Overview

In this role you will lead cybersecurity engagements for large financial institutions, combining technical, regulatory and industry insight to reduce risk and drive transformation. You will manage client delivery, nurture relationships, and help grow Accenture’s Cybersecurity business within the financial services sector. You’ll bridge client needs with Accenture’s cybersecurity experts while shaping insurance and financial services cybersecurity capability through thought leadership and new opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership role with cross-functional collaboration and impact in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity engagements in financial services, managing scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder expectations
  • Act as trusted cybersecurity advisor to client stakeholders across business, technology, risk and security functions
  • Conduct strategy assessments, operating model reviews, control evaluations, and transformation planning
  • Support regulatory compliance and industry expectations related to cyber resilience, operational resilience, third-party risk, data protection, and emerging tech
  • Identify and articulate risks at business, technology, and programme levels and develop remediation strategies
  • Assess and enhance cybersecurity capabilities across domains (IAM, cloud security, cyber resilience, security operations, AI security, application security, third-party risk)
  • Design target-state security capabilities, operating models, governance frameworks, and transformation roadmaps
  • Develop security control frameworks aligned to standards/regulations (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, NIS2, DORA, PRA, FCA)
  • Produce deliverables (maturity assessments, roadmaps, operating models, business cases, risk assessments, executive presentations)
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats, regulatory developments and innovations in FS sector
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within existing accounts and with prospective clients
  • Support sales pursuits, proposals, RFPs, and commercial discussions
  • Contribute to account planning, pipeline development and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with industry, alliance and technology teams to develop differentiated security offerings for Insurance & Financial Services
  • Lead, coach and develop cybersecurity teams across Analyst–Manager grades
  • Provide mentoring and performance feedback and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
  • Contribute to practice growth through thought leadership, asset development, recruitment, training and community initiatives

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity for financial services, security transformation, risk management, technology advisory or related fields
  • Experience delivering complex cybersecurity engagements for banks, insurers, asset managers or market infrastructure providers
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulatory requirements and industry frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage senior client stakeholders
  • Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, cloud security certifications) are desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; postgraduate qualifications advantageous
