Overview

In this Director role, you lead delivery and client engagement within KPMG’s Global Compliance & Transformation team, focusing on tax reporting, corporate tax compliance, and outsourcing projects for multinational clients. You will drive efficiency through technology-enabled processes, shape advisory solutions on new legislation, and build senior-level networks to unlock new opportunities. The role blends leadership, technical expertise, and client development to support a holistic operating model for complex groups.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across a portfolio and grow internal capability to meet client needs
  • Lead delivery of outsourced tax reporting engagements with technical excellence and efficiency
  • Lead corporate tax compliance engagements and management of compliance outsourcing contracts
  • Drive efficiency in the compliance process by leveraging technology and improving controls
  • Oversee teams advising on tax implications of new legislation and respond to ad hoc technical requests
  • Provide well-reasoned solutions to complex problems and communicate at senior levels
  • Identify additional services and liaise with subject specialists
  • Lead business development to progress leads to sales and manage contract negotiations
  • Oversee teams supporting group/statutory Tax Reporting, including global outsource contracts under US GAAP and IFRS
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Follow KPMG best practices and policies
  • Demonstrate resilience, positive attitude, and effective networking with clients

Key requirements

  • Qualified by experience or ATT/CTA/ACA or equivalent qualifications
  • Tax reporting/accounting skills highly desirable
  • Deep knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and compliance for large/complex groups
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences
  • Strong attention to detail with client service focus
  • Proven leadership and ability to work under pressure
