Overview
As Mandarin-speaking Senior HR Manager/HR Manager, you partner with leadership to drive people strategy across the organisation. You will own the full HR remit—from talent acquisition and development to performance, ER, and compliance—while also handling some office management in a small, multicultural HR team. This fully office-based role focuses on shaping people processes, regulatory compliance, and employee experience in the UK. You’ll work closely with business leaders to align HR activity with delivery goals and organisational growth. This is a strategic, hands-on role offering meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment: crafting JD, posting roles, coordinating interviews, advising hiring managers, negotiating offers, and onboarding.
- Design and deliver learning and development programmes aligned with regulatory requirements and career progression.
- Oversee benefits and welfare programmes to enhance engagement and wellbeing.
- Maintain UK employment legislation knowledge; ensure HR policies comply with regulations (e.g., Employment Rights Act 2025).
- Manage employee relations matters: investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
- Maintain confidential HR records in line with UK law and internal policies.
- Support office management and general administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
- Undertake additional HR/administrative duties as needed to support business needs.
Key requirements
- Proven UK work experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner
- Hands-on experience in managing Employee Relations (ER) cases including grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance issues, and absence management
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions and UK employment legislation
- Degree (or above) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- CIPD qualification desirable but not essential
- Willingness to perform office administration tasks
- Excellent written and verbal English; Chinese language skills desirable but not essential
