Overview

In this role you will lead the production of Schroders’ prudential regulatory returns, from data sourcing to submission. You will own the end-to-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and resilience while addressing Basel 3.1 and future regulatory changes. You will guide data governance, documentation and controls, working closely with Finance, Risk and Technology. You will manage a regulatory reporting team and build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Own the production of group prudential regulatory returns from sourcing through submission.
  • Lead timely delivery of reporting outputs aligned with regulatory and internal schedules.
  • Maintain a production plan across recurring returns, ad hoc requests and regulatory change activity.
  • Ensure methodologies, calculations and assumptions are clearly documented and consistently applied.
  • Document data lineage and calculation records; support independent controls and sign-off.
  • Collaborate with Prudential Reporting, Risk, Finance and Technology to improve evidence quality and the control environment.
  • Escalate production issues in line with procedures.
  • Coach and support team members; set priorities and allocate work.

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in prudential regulatory reporting within financial services (banking, asset management or investment management).
  • Experience with returns such as COREP, IFPR, own funds, capital adequacy, Pillar 3 or equivalents.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory reporting data, calculations, reconciliations and controls.
  • Proven ability to manage complex end-to-end reporting processes with multiple data sources.
  • Leadership in delivery, priority management and issue resolution under deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management with Technology, Finance, Risk, Data and Change.
  • Ability to document processes, data lineage, assumptions and controls in an audit-ready manner.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting platforms, calculation engines or data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data query tools, reporting automation or workflow tools.
  • Experience improving manual processes and strengthening operational resilience.
