Internal Control Manager

Overview

In this Internal Controls Manager role, you will lead the second line of defense controls testing amid AVEVA’s move to dual IFRS/US GAAP reporting. You will manage global control cycles, collaborate with Global Process Owners and co-sourcing partners, and drive audit readiness and evidence management. You will mentor Internal Control Analysts, optimize testing and remediation efforts, and seek efficiencies through automation. Responsibilities

• Lead Internal Control Analysts and coordinate global control cycles
• Own RACMs, validate changes with owners and Global Process Owners
• Develop and direct 2LOD testing strategy and resource plan
• Coordinate walkthroughs and evidence collection for audits
• Coach analysts and support remediation of control issues
• Prepare audit committee papers and maintain reporting on control matters
• Collaborate with Global Process Owners and co-source partner for consistent controls
• Support design of controls for new processes and transformation projects
• Manage evidence retention and liaise with Internal and External Audit

Key requirements

• Experience in audit, Internal Audit, External Audit or Controls function
• Experience testing SOX controls and understanding PCAOB requirements
• Strong testing and sampling methodology knowledge
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
• Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent)
• Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ambitious, self-starter with high ethics and risk culture
