Cost and Commercial Management – Hospital Construction

Overview

As a Cost management professional within Turner & Townsend’s UK health programme, you will help deliver significant hospital projects at scale. You’ll work with cross‑functional scheme leads to maintain cost baselines, drive cost assurance, and support commercial decisions. You’ll collaborate across client tools, policies, and governance to ensure predictable outcomes and savings. This is an opportunity to shape major healthcare infrastructure and contribute to a high‑impact nationwide programme.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with function leads to apply cost management and estimating expertise
• Maintain approved cost baselines and perform cost assurance and data verification
• Support commercial decisions through detailed cost analysis and reporting
• Ensure compliance with client policies, tools, assurance, and reporting requirements
• Contribute to change control and cost assessment of changes
• Support risk review and governance activities related to the programme
• Provide input to business case reviews and governance processes
• Engage with Trusts, Advisors, and Contractors to strengthen cost management and reporting

Key requirements

• Relevant technical qualification with demonstrable track record in delivering major projects
• Strong client‑facing approach with stakeholder management skills
• Working towards or holding a professional qualification
• Experience in construction consultancy, healthcare/life science projects, or digital project management tools is advantageous
