Overview
In this role you will lead audits for charities and not-for-profit organisations, manage a portfolio and develop teams within PEM’s specialist practice. You will build trusted relationships with charity leaders and trustees, guiding engagements from planning to Partner review and providing value-added advice. The position combines technical excellence with people leadership in a well-established firm that prioritises people and community impact. Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients
- Build relationships with finance leaders, executives and trustees
- Lead audits from planning through to completion and Partner review
- Review financial statements ensuring high quality standards
- Provide practical, value-added advice on sector-specific challenges
- Coach and develop audit team members
- Support business development, tenders and client growth opportunities
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of PEM’s charity and not-for-profit practice
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant audit experience within a professional services environment
- Strong experience working with charities and not-for-profit organisations
- Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and the Charities SORP
- Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
