Overview
You will lead mechanical design on a large, complex healthcare project in our London team, directing engineers and translating clinical needs into robust solutions. You’ll balance stakeholder diplomacy with technical integrity, shaping the strategy and maintaining project outcomes in a high-stakes healthcare environment. This role sits at the heart of cross-disciplinary collaboration, aligning clinical requirements with engineering delivery. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors and architects to drive a high-impact facility that meets patient care goals and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Set the mechanical design strategy for the project
- Direct and mentor the design engineers delivering the work
- Lead conversations with clinical stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions
- Maintain alignment between client, clinical, contractor, and architect expectations
- Ensure the engineering output remains honest and robust under pressure
- Drive delivery within the healthcare context while coordinating with broader group capabilities
