Overview

In this role you drive commercial growth across the UK for shoulder arthroplasty solutions, partnering with surgeons, KOLs, and NHS/private accounts to expand market share. You will lead tender and pricing activities, provide clinical support, and coordinate training and education initiatives. You’ll work with cross-border teams on launches and strategic account development, contributing to patient outcomes and surgical innovation. This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven sales professional in a fast-growing orthopedic team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed regional sales targets for shoulder arthroplasty portfolio
  • Create territory and key account plans to drive revenue and market share
  • Build and manage relationships with KOLs, surgeons, and procurement in NHS and private sectors
  • Provide clinical and technical support during surgeries and training
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities at local and national levels
  • Lead tender negotiations and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with UK and international teams on accounts and product launches
  • Organise and support surgeon training events and educational programs across UK and Europe
  • Contribute to marketing activities, trade shows, and conferences
  • Mentor junior sales colleagues and share best practices

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ orthopedic sales experience, ideally shoulder arthroplasty or joint reconstruction
  • Proven track record in key account management and business development
  • Strong NHS and private hospital network with engagement with senior management and procurement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and experience managing margins, P&L, tenders
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Degree-level education (Life Sciences preferred, but not essential)
