Director – Procurement Transformation Advisory

Overview

In this Director role you drive procurement transformation initiatives within a leading professional services firm. You will shape strategy, market positioning and culture in the Procurement Transformation Advisory practice, partnering with senior executives to win and deliver complex engagements. You’ll lead cross-functional delivery of sourcing-to-pay transformations, and advance AI-enabled procurement and Agentic Procurement capabilities. This position offers significance in shaping client outcomes and the firm’s market-leading propositions.

Responsibilities

• Originate, shape and win procurement transformation engagements
• Develop trusted relationships with CPOs, CFOs, COOs and other senior executives
• Lead proposals, RFP responses and commercial negotiations
• Build external profile via thought leadership and industry engagement
• Collaborate with alliance and technology partners to drive joint market opportunities
• Lead major procurement transformation programmes from strategy to implementation
• Advise on operating models, organisation design, process optimisation and digital transformation
• Deliver engagements across procurement strategy, operating model transformation, S2P, supplier management and cost transformation
• Support adoption of AI-enabled procurement capabilities, intelligent automation and Agentic Procurement
• Ensure high-quality delivery and strong commercial performance
• Coach and mentor junior staff and support capability development
• Develop market-leading procurement transformation propositions and lead thinking on AI-enabled procurement

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a leading consulting or professional services organization
• Strong track record of originating and selling consulting engagements
• Significant experience leading large-scale procurement transformations
• Deep expertise in procurement operating models and S2P transformations
• Experience advising senior executives and building long-term client relationships
• Strong people leadership and team development experience
• Excellent understanding of AI, automation, generative AI and Agentic Procurement capabilities
• Entrepreneurial mindset with commercial acumen and growth orientation
