Audit Manager / Senior Manager

Overview

In this Senior Audit Manager role you will lead NFP audits, guiding quality delivery from planning through to completion. You’ll work with charities, higher education institutions, and trade unions, helping the team grow its Not-for-Profit footprint. You’ll mentor juniors, shape business development, and strengthen client relationships. This position offers exposure to SORP and FRS 102 frameworks in a dynamic, client-facing environment. You will play a key part in thought leadership and sector networking, contributing to the firm’s mission in the South-East.

Pay / Benefits

• 65,000-80,000 salary (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits for NFP clients from planning to completion
• Review statutory accounts under Charities SORP, HE/FE SORP, and FRS 102
• Supervise, develop, and appraise junior staff with technical guidance
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure quality service
• Support business development through tenders, events, and article contributions
• Oversee billing, staffing, and recruitment within the department

Key requirements

• ACCA or ACA qualified with proven audit management experience in practice
• Strong Not-for-Profit audit background, including charities and higher education
• In-depth knowledge of SORP requirements and FRS 102
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
