Overview
You will lead a portfolio of complex audits, shaping strategy, risk management and client service. You will mentor senior team members, maintain key client relationships and contribute to business development. Responsibilities
- Own portfolio of complex or higher-risk audit engagements with accountability to Engagement Leader or Partner
- Set audit strategy and exercise professional judgment on technical or contentious areas
- Act as senior escalation point for technical, client and risk matters
- Manage portfolio profitability, WIP and billing; oversee resourcing across engagements
- Lead recruitment, coaching and development of Managers and Assistant Managers; participate in performance management
- Own senior client relationships; identify opportunities to expand services
- Lead on business development activities, including proposals, pitches and networking
- Review and sign off on audit file quality ahead of Partner review
- Inform clients about new standards and regulatory changes and advise implications
- Champion risk management and quality standards; escalate whistleblowing or integrity concerns
- Build and maintain a firm-wide network to identify opportunities and avoid duplication
Key requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with substantial post-qualification audit experience
- Experience managing a portfolio and developing junior team members
- Track record in contributing to business development is desirable
