Overview

As Project Director – EPCm at KBR, you will lead technical and commercial delivery of LNG-focused FEED and Detailed Design projects. You will serve as the primary client liaison, build delivery teams across locations, and ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget execution with a strong focus on profitability. You will shape project strategy, manage risk, and mentor the next generation of LNG professionals while aligning with KBR’s standards and policies. This role offers impact across global projects and opportunities to influence decarbonisation efforts in the LNG supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe project execution aligned with cost, schedule, and contractual targets
  • Deliver financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule outcomes
  • Act as prime client contact and develop strong relationships
  • Build and sustain cross-location project delivery teams
  • Support pursuit of new work through client meetings and proposals
  • Ensure execution complies with company policies and procedures
  • Manage project risk to avoid delays or reputational damage
  • Own project financial performance and reporting
  • Identify resource requirements and coordinate with resource managers
  • Deliver single projects or multi-client portfolios across locations
  • Plan execution and maintain adherence to plan
  • Mentor and develop LNG project professionals
  • Report project status and forecasts
  • Ensure change management and contract administration including change orders
  • Balance client needs with internal scope changes and conflict resolution
  • Maintain Earned Value reporting and track progress
  • Implement lessons learned and technical corrective actions

Key requirements

  • LNG project delivery track record, with greenfield and brownfield experience
  • Ability to influence and lead multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams
  • Experience with construction subcontractors and pre-enquiry through execution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules and budgets
  • Knowledge of risk management and contract administration
  • Professional Engineering qualification and/or project management qualification (e.g., PMP/AMP)
  • Ability to work across global locations and diverse cultures
  • Customer-centric stakeholder management and credibility with executives
