Manager, Technical Revenue Accounting

Overview

In this role you will guide the technical revenue accounting for a growing SaaS business at Genesys, ensuring ASC 606 compliance and clear operational guidance. You will partner with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Sales, Legal and Finance to translate policy into practical procedures and assess revenue implications of complex transactions. You’ll drive audit readiness, improve month/quarter-end close, and scale AI-enabled processes across the team. Responsibilities

• Maintain and operationalize revenue policies in compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP, translating policy into practical guidance
• Translate accounting standard changes into updated policies and procedures
• Evaluate new products, models and contract structures; produce actionable guidance for downstream teams
• Create and maintain audit-ready process documentation and memoranda
• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits
• Support close processes for complex deals and ensure complete, documented accounting outcomes
• Collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales, Product, Legal and Finance on revenue implications of transactions
• Perform and review detailed technical analyses for recognition under ASC 606
• Provide coaching to improve team deliverables and develop staff
• Identify and implement AI/automation opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency
• Remain adaptable to evolving priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Key requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience with hands-on SaaS/technology experience
• Deep knowledge of Software Revenue Recognition ASC 606 in SaaS models, with memo writing experience
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent) required
• Strong written and oral communication to convey technical information
• Ability to collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance, and coordinate with external auditors
• Ability to work independently in a fast-growing, global environment and meet deadlines
