Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a current PPT certificate? Are you available immediately and looking for a well-paid temporary warehouse role?
Our client, a busy and well-established company in Letchworth Garden City, is looking for a Warehouse Operative with PPT experience to join their team immediately. Working across rotating early and late shifts, this is a hands‑on role combining picking, packing, loading and general warehouse duties.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders, moving stock using a PPT and ensuring goods are loaded and dispatched efficiently.
This is a busy, physical role, so you’ll need to be comfortable with manual handling and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operating a PPT to safely move goods around the warehouse
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Scanning items using an RF scanner
- Loading and preparing pallets for dispatch
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Checking stock and reporting stock levels
- Liaising with the customer service team
- Supporting with general warehouse duties
- Keeping working areas clean, tidy and safe
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous warehouse experience is essential
- Current PPT is essential
- Previous experience operating a PPT is highly desirable
- RF scanner experience would be advantageous
- Physically fit and comfortable with some heavy lifting
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Able to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
- Available for an immediate start
