Overview
As an Associate Director in the Cardiff Planning team, you will lead delivery on significant planning projects for private and public sector clients. You’ll contribute to the growth of the Cardiff office while coordinating strategic planning, development management, and project delivery. This role combines leadership, client engagement, and technical planning expertise in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Responsibilities
- Lead delivery on strategic planning, development management, and project coordination for a diverse client portfolio
- Collaborate with private and public sector clients to drive project success and office growth
- Provide leadership and governance across projects to ensure high professional standards
- Engage with stakeholders and manage client relationships in a fast-paced consultancy setting

Key requirements
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience
- MRTPI accreditation
- Strong understanding of commercial planning environments (forward planning and development management)
- Excellent knowledge of planning legislation and professional standards
- Strong analytical, written, and communication skills
- Confidence in client-facing situations and project leadership responsibilities
- Experience in the local/regional area is advantageous
