Director of Town Planning

Overview

In this role you lead an established planning team and drive growth for a Cardiff-based planning consultancy. You will nurture key client relationships while winning new business and expanding the firm’s presence across Cardiff and Wales. You provide strategic planning guidance across varied development projects and help shape the firm’s profile through leadership and industry networks. This is a ownership-oriented opportunity for a commercially minded planning professional with an existing client following.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an established planning team
• Manage and grow key client relationships
• Generate new business and expand existing opportunities
• Provide strategic planning advice across diverse development projects
• Support the growth and profile of the business in Cardiff and Wales
• Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Chartered MRTPI with strong private sector consultancy experience
• Proven track record of developing client relationships and winning new business
• Established network of clients and contacts suitable for bringing into an existing platform
• Commercially minded and leadership-driven
• Experience leading a planning team and setting strategic direction
