Overview

In this role you lead planning strategy, oversee applications, and provide day-to-day planning advice within Ramboll’s Town Planning team. You drive sustainable change across development and infrastructure projects, applying UK planning expertise throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll disseminate planning updates to the team and clients while building strong relationships. This is a collaborative, growth-oriented opportunity to shape projects and client outcomes in a global, value-driven firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning strategy advice with Directors and manage applications and appeals
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and drive performance within the Town Planning group
  • Support business development through fee proposals, tender submissions, and client relationship maintenance
  • Coordinate with Ramboll technical specialists and build cross-functional networks
  • Represent Ramboll in client meetings and at networking events
  • Support leadership and management functions within the team
  • Engage with development and infrastructure projects across housing, regeneration, energy, highways and data centres

Key requirements

  • 7+ years of Town Planning experience
  • Degree in Town Planning or related field with related postgraduate qualifications
  • Professional Membership of the RTPI
  • Experience in project delivery and planning processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and client relationship management
