As an HR Advisor in a collaborative HR team, you will provide practical guidance across the employee lifecycle—from relations and performance to payroll and training. You’ll support payroll, benefits, and HR analytics while contributing to best-practice policies and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Advise managers on employee relations matters including performance, absence management, and family-friendly policies
- Support performance management processes: probation reviews, objective setting, and PI plans
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment with agencies, postings, onboarding and inductions
- Prepare documentation for promotions, salary changes, job title changes, and lifecycle updates
- Generate monthly/quarterly HR reports (headcount, turnover, recruitment costs, remuneration)
- Assist payroll and benefits administration (employee changes, pension letters, record updates)
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and organisation charts
- Coordinate internal and external training (bookings, attendance, qualifications)
- Review/update HR policies, job descriptions, and supporting docs
- Monitor HR inbox to provide timely support to staff and managers
- Contribute to HR projects and remuneration process initiatives
Key requirements
- Experience in an HR Advisor or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience managing employee relations matters independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
