Overview
As Senior BRPD, you will lead and shape the regulatory design management across major projects, liaising between lead designers and WSP’s engineering teams. You’ll develop and implement BRPD strategies, ensuring high-quality design outcomes aligned with the Building Safety Act 2022. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from inception to handover, coordinating stakeholders and driving compliant, future-facing solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead BRPD strategy and processes across projects
- Coordinate design teams and stakeholders to meet objectives
- Oversee design deliverables, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
- Develop and manage BRPD processes and project mobilization
- Track progress, report to senior stakeholders, and participate in progress meetings
- Coordinate risk and issue resolution across disciplines
- Facilitate interdisciplinary design workshops for BRPD compliance
- Assist in design documentation and handover to client
- Support bids and business opportunities
- Deliver high-quality design documentation (drawings, specs, schedules)
Key requirements
- Engineering, Architectural or Design Management degree
- Chartership or professional accreditation (or close to achieving)
- Client-facing design management or technical lead experience on large multi-disciplinary projects
- Familiarity with RIBA design stages 1–3 including planning submissions
- Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and effective communicator
- Experience in large multi-disciplinary projects (preferred)
