Overview

In this role you will own the path to product-market fit for property underwriting data solutions in European and London Market insurance, driving evidence-based decisions and value for insurers. You will partner with engineering, data science, and commercial teams to translate customer needs into technical specs and go-to-market strategies. You will shape product design across geographies, data maturity, and carrier types while maintaining commercial accountability and responsible AI use. This is an opportunity to influence risk analytics at a global reinsurer-adjacent scale and expand Moody’s property underwriting offering.

Responsibilities

  • Own the path to product-market fit for property underwriting data solutions in European and London Market insurance, guiding product and GTM strategy
  • Iterate product with engineering and data science: translate customer jobs into specifications, perform data reviews, triage defects, and manage scope trade-offs
  • Segment European insurers by underwriting practices and data maturity to define distinct adoption paths and product design
  • Lead the carrier evaluation program end-to-end: design evaluations, synthesize findings, and drive prioritized product decisions
  • Iterate GTM with sales, marketing, and client success: refine buyer personas, value proposition, pricing, and packaging
  • Hold commercial accountability for the offering, supporting business development in active pursuits
  • Develop and advance the business case, financial model, and GTM plan with leadership oversight
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies (geospatial data sourcing, address matching, catastrophe risk analytics, legal/privacy reviews) and represent the product to clients in European markets
  • Support London Market business development by shaping the proposition for US-exposed commercial and delegated business
  • Work with ML and computer vision teams to apply AI tools responsibly within underwriting workflows
  • Participate in expanding property underwriting analytics into new geographies and lines of business

Key requirements

  • Eight+ years of product management experience or equivalent with hands-on underwriting innovation in insurance
  • Experience taking a product from conception to market, including geographic or segment expansion
  • Deep knowledge of property and casualty underwriting and how data analytics feed underwriting workflows
  • Technical depth to work with engineers and data scientists on data products, including data schemas, model outputs, and quality metrics
  • Commercial fluency: building a business case, pricing, packaging, and driving adoption and revenue outcomes
  • Ability to lead and influence across engineering, data science, sales, marketing, and client success without direct authority
  • Proficiency in AI concepts and hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency, with awareness of AI risk management and responsible use
  • Experience or familiarity with London Market, Lloyd’s syndicate, or US commercial property exposures; geospatial data or catastrophe modelling is helpful
