Overview

In this role you will lead fabrications and construction activities within Fabrication Yard, bridging home office engineering with yard execution. You will support the Fabrication Director and coordinate across engineering, procurement, and project controls to ensure work aligns with plans and schedules. You will tackle complex constructability concerns, manage RFIs, and drive timely turnover to clients, contributing to safe, efficient offshore projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and share expertise to raise execution standards. Responsibilities

  • Lead Fabrication Yard construction activities per project plans, specs, and schedules
  • Coordinate with Home Office Engineering, Subcontracting, Procurement and Project Controls to enable yard subcontractor work
  • Coordinate with Completions Manager and Yard QA/QC Lead for inspections, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation
  • Develop and respond to RFIs and Field Work Order Requests; manage design iterations
  • Support setup and administration of the AWP system for Fabrication Yard activities
  • Supervise Project Document Management; ensure adherence to filing guidelines
  • Conduct constructability reviews from home office and coordinate with Fabrication Yard subcontractor
  • Manage engineering support on-site through the Project Manager at the home office
  • Track RFIs to turnover systems for client care and custody
  • Analyze progress and schedule performance; lead weekly planning meetings with Superintendents
  • Support subcontractor with IWP level weekly work plans and material requests
  • Record and communicate Lessons Learned

Key requirements

  • Five years of construction experience
  • Moderate knowledge of MDR construction procedures, progress systems, material management, document management, and timekeeping systems
  • MS Office skills, especially Excel and Access
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; troubleshoot and resolve issues
