Overview

In this Senior Project Planner role, you shape schedules for diverse projects within the Energy & Natural Resources division, including nuclear-sector programmes. You’ll lead planning for multiple projects, coordinating time, cost, risk, and scope to drive on-time, on-budget delivery. You work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior planners, upholding Integrated Project Controls standards. Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on planning for multiple projects or complex programmes
  • Create, develop and maintain robust project schedules aligned with requirements
  • Adhere to NEC or FIDIC processes for schedule data and submissions
  • Assist in developing management status reports to track progress
  • Oversee Integrated Project Controls practices and mentor planning staff
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities, and propose recovery actions
  • Coordinate detailed work scopes, cost information and variance analysis
  • Monitor progress and consolidates schedules into Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Report on project KPIs and Earned Value Management (EVM) status
  • Provide functional management, mentoring and coaching to planning personnel

Key requirements

  • Professional project controls experience with planning & scheduling across project lifecycles
  • Nuclear experience desirable but not required
  • Proficiency with Primavera (P6) and other planning/resourcing tools
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with capacity to influence and develop a team
  • Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance
  • Member of a professional body (e.g., APM, PMI)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make risk-based decisions under uncertainty
  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict navigation skills
