Finance Processes Manager

Overview

As Financial Processes Manager at Greggs, you will lead cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and drive continuous improvements in end-to-end processes. You will optimise working capital and leverage SAP and new technologies to enhance financial performance. You will oversee VAT management and ensure accurate VAT recording, impacting monthly closes and reporting. This role sits in the Finance team in Newcastle, partnering with colleagues to support business growth and financial integrity.

Responsibilities

• Direct line management of cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable teams
• Drive robustness, accuracy and efficiency of end-to-end financial processes
• Manage day-to-day relationships with banking and card issuing partners
• Oversee VAT management to meet HMRC obligations
• Review balance sheet reconciliations for cash, AR and AP-related GL accounts
• Provide additional support to Finance and the business as required

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience optimising cash and working capital
• VAT management experience advantageous
• Advanced MS Excel; proficient with PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerBI
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and deliver under pressure
