Senior Sales Engineer (f/m/d)

Overview

In this role you partner with Account Executives to support EMEA customers, shaping technical solutions and validating requirements against Contentful’s platform. You will create demos, evaluate integrations, and communicate feedback across product, marketing and sales to accelerate adoption. You may travel up to 50% and collaborate with global teams to help customers realize business value from modern CMS and digital experience delivery. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that blends technical depth with stakeholder-facing storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives and assist prospects in understanding capabilities and comparisons to legacy tech
• Capture prospects’ requirements and validate them against the platform, identifying risks
• Create product demonstrations and support technical evaluations to show how the platform solves business problems
• Communicate customer needs and product feedback to product, marketing, and sales
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers to ensure successful onboarding and launch

Key requirements

• 3–5 years as Sales/Solution Engineer/Architect or 5–10 years as a developer in digital experience delivery with marketing tech focus
• Fluency in English; additional European languages preferred
• Strong presentation skills for diverse marketing and technical personas
• Experience with modern web technologies (JavaScript frameworks, static site generators, REST APIs, CDNs, CI/CD)
