Overview

In this Senior Sales Engineer role, you will act as the technical authority for complex, high‑value opportunities, helping Matterport scale its platform for enterprise clients. You’ll shape architectures, advise executives on security and integration decisions, and influence product strategy through deep technical leadership. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful, trusted deployments and drive revenue impact. This position offers visibility, autonomy, and the chance to influence Matterport’s technical selling strategy on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical authority for complex, high‑value opportunities across enterprise and global accounts
  • Advise executives on architectural decisions, security, integrations, and platform strategy
  • Act as trusted technical advisor to sales leadership on deal strategy and risk
  • Design advanced architectures, integrations, and PoC engagements addressing multi‑system requirements
  • Set standards for demos, pilots, and validation efforts
  • Own resolution of high‑risk technical challenges impacting revenue and trust
  • Establish best practices and frameworks for Sales Engineering
  • Influence security, data workflows, and platform extensibility in selling strategy
  • Provide field insight to Product, Security, and R&D to shape roadmap and differentiation
  • Deliver advanced technical training and mentor junior engineers
  • Lead enterprise security conversations and align requirements with policies
  • Represent Matterport at industry events and with partners
  • Provide leadership coverage during manager absences

Key requirements

  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS in pre‑sales/technical consulting with enterprise impact
  • Strong executive communication and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Hands‑on prototyping with APIs, SDKs, JavaScript, and GraphQL
  • Understanding of 3D data types and spatial data workflows
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and security architectures (AWS, SAML, OAuth)
  • Exposure to ML/AI concepts as applied to data products
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • English plus French or German preferred; Spanish or Italian advantageous
