You will be responsible for the day-to-day legal affairs arising from Gotion’s growing operations. This will include a wide array of corporate, commercial and compliance-related matters. You will contribute to stabilizing the internal legal practice as well as the expansion of legal and transactional support to Gotion UK’s energy storage and battery businesses.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance, identify legal risks, and handle a wide range of corporate legal matters to support business to trade lawfully.
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements – such as NDAs, Sales and Supply Agreements, PPAs, Term Sheets, Novation Agreements – across the Group’s subsidiaries, joint ventures, and operating partners throughout the APAC region.
- Work closely with various teams to provide legal advice on issues (e.g. tax, finance/accounting, employment, corporate and commercial) together with resolution plans.
- Provide ongoing legal support, including conducting third party vendor screenings, contract reviews, and policy formulation etc.
- Draft and publish internal legal policies as well as standard operating procedure (SOP) documenting the tasks, processes and workflows.
- As needed, support stakeholders on special projects and legal operations matters.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) is preferred, gained in a law firm and/or in-house role with a well-established company.
- A recognized law degree from a reputable university is required .
- Strong analytical skills, well organized with an ethical mindset.
- Able to engage confidently and effectively with stakeholders across expertise and cultures.
- 5.Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within reasonable turnaround times.
