Overview
As Health & Public Sector Consulting Manager, you will lead transformation engagements for NHS and other public health clients, translating strategy into actionable delivery. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to challenge and advise, driving value through data-driven, human-centered solutions. You’ll own streams of work, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and foster a trust-based client relationship. This role sits at the intersection of clinical insight, consulting excellence, and innovative technology to improve citizen outcomes. You’ll operate in a cutting-edge, collaborative environment with opportunities to shape healthcare transformation at scale.

Responsibilities
- Be the client-facing lead in engagements, advising and coaching senior stakeholders as needed
- Develop deep understanding of client challenges and drive issue-based discussions
- Cultivate trust-based client relationships and deliver value-centric, data-driven outcomes
- Lead teams to deliver excellence and manage day-to-day work of the team
- Apply human-centered design to frame problems and drive innovation through collaboration
- Own streams of complex work aligned with client expectations and goals
- Contribute to business development and identify growth opportunities through strategic insights
- Support delivery of projects across NHS, arm’s length bodies, integrated care systems, and private health clients
Key requirements
- Analytical problem-solving skills and continuous improvement techniques
- Strategic thinking to derive insights for complex problems
- Designing and/or implementing operating models
- Creating and/or managing complex business cases
- Working with data in design or delivery of public sector consulting
- Experience with technology-enabled transformation of public services
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience with public sector clients (government or health & care)
- Experience driving new business in terms of strategy and relationships
- Project and programme management methodologies and governance (PRINCE2, MSP)
- Experience delivering projects using Agile; ability to lead Agile teams
- Clinical practice background with healthcare delivery experience; active or recent clinical grounding
- Strong client communication and presentation skills
- Influence and stakeholder engagement at senior levels
