Overview
In this role you will build and maintain the metrics and reporting foundation for the Payments domain within J.P. Morgan Personal Investing. You will partner with Product, Engineering and Data teams to define what good looks like, measure it, and communicate insights to drive decision-making. You’ll focus on scalable metrics, product health signals, and data-driven prioritization to improve the payments experience for customers. You’ll work in cross-functional squads and grow into broader product responsibilities as the function evolves. This is a hands-on, impact-focused product analytics role with a fintech emphasis and a clear path to broader ownership.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a weekly performance reporting cadence with clear readouts across Product, Operations and Issue Management
- Translate complex data into exec-ready narratives to guide product decisions and prioritization
- Leverage performance monitoring to identify patterns that inform product health and drive insight-led actions
- Own the Payments metrics framework in collaboration with the Product Lead, aligning definitions and data across initiatives
- Coordinate with Engineering to ensure accurate data dictionaries and leverage AI tooling for documentation quality
- Drive end-to-end smaller initiatives with engineers—from requirements to delivery and measurable impact
- Write well-scoped requirements and support testing to maintain delivery pace and quality
- Articulate assumptions where data is not yet available, establish baselines, and iterate as information emerges
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to embed data-informed decision making across the product team
Key requirements
- Typically 4–7+ years’ experience in a relevant product/analytics role
- Degree in a quantitative/technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in a product analyst, product owner or hybrid product role with hands-on delivery
- Strong SQL skills and experience building KPI frameworks and decision-ready reporting; willingness to leverage AI tools
- Experience collaborating with engineering and product managers in an agile environment to deliver end-to-end
- Ability to translate data into a clear narrative that informs product decisions
- Experience on customer-facing digital products or platforms
- Familiarity with product analytics tooling (Amplitude, Looker or equivalent)
- Self-starter with strong communication and the ability to work with engineers and across product managers
