Overview
In this role you support the Private Client team of a wealth and asset management firm in London, delivering high-quality service to clients and coordinating across internal and external teams. You participate from the initial client contact through account openings, ongoing maintenance and review processes, and respond to client inquiries and requests. You’ll help improve working practices within the Client Administration function while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This is a hybrid role with significant stakeholder interaction and opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to client relationships at scale.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new clients and coordinate account openings with Investment Managers
- Maintain client accounts and perform AML reviews, amendments, sub accounts, and record-keeping
- Liaise with custodians, third parties, and consultants to meet client requirements
- Develop ongoing client relationships and provide information and updates as needed
- Manage client data across internal and external systems and respond to queries
- Coordinate with colleagues across the business to ensure a high level of client service
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members and other areas as required
- Support and cover the Client Administration Team and assist in client meetings as needed
Key requirements
- Experience in an asset management environment with client take-on
- Minimum 2 years in a similar client services/administrator role
- Strong understanding of asset management company structures
- Excellent organizational skills; able to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication; confident with clients and colleagues
- Numerical, analytical acumen and proficient PC skills
- Knowledge of investment parameters and fee arrangements for discretionary portfolios
- Knowledge of investment instruments, corporate actions and capital gains tax rules
- IOC or similar industry qualification
- Knowledge of AML processes and regulatory standards
