Overview
In this role you will provide impartial planning advice to a blue-chip client base, working across London, Manchester and Birmingham. You will help shape development strategies, deliver planning applications, and support site promotions through Local Plan processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, manage client relationships, and mentor junior team members. The role offers exposure to diverse sectors and a chance to influence outcomes for major urban and regeneration projects. You will work in a respected P&D team that values expertise, client care, and cross-site collaboration to drive value for clients.

Responsibilities
- Develop impartial, innovative planning advice with team
- Prepare planning applications (including major ones), representations, pre-application requests, and potential appeals
- Conduct planning appraisals and provide strategic guidance to clients and colleagues
- Promote sites through Local Plan documents and submit representations
- Build and maintain commercial relationships through effective communication
- Liaise with Development, Agency and Capital Markets teams to advise on opportunity sites
- Attend client meetings and lead day-to-day instructions
- Identify business development and client care opportunities
- Mentor and supervise junior team members
Key requirements
- Experience in planning projects in London
- Track record in client care and relationships with clients and local authorities
- Experience in winning new business and building internal/external networks
- Self-motivated with focus on excellent client service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience in managing and/or mentoring others
