We’re looking for a Senior Temporary Works Advisor to join our team based in various locations. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor. Join us as a SeniorTraffic Management Designer and become part of one of the UK’s leaders in temporary works design and management and construction-related technical services. As part of our team of temporary traffic management designers, you’ll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier’s £11bn+ project pipeline – supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.

Location: NationwideHours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you…

  • An Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE) or have significant experience in a similar role
  • Holding a full driving licence
  • Collaborative and able to build effective relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
  • Trusted and committed to delivering what you promise while acting safely and ethically
  • Focused with a clear, disciplined and thorough approach to your work

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Temporary Works Advisor, you’ll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering construction engineering services and temporary works compliance. Your day to day will include:

  • Advising on the effective implementation of the Group Temporary Works Standard and associated guidance
  • Providing technical and practical advice on temporary works design and implementation
  • Undertaking formal and informal temporary works compliance audits of projects and frameworks
  • Supporting tender and bid winning activities including outline design schemes, feasibility studies, and value engineering
  • Providing design management advice and coordination, acting as lead designer where required
