Overview
In this MLRO role, you will support Saffery LLP’s Financial Crime Compliance function to ensure KYC/CDD processes meet AML regulations. You’ll work within the FCC Team on ongoing monitoring and risk assessment for existing clients, engaging stakeholders to obtain missing information. You’ll apply your experience to deliver accurate due diligence, balancing regulatory requirements with client onboarding needs. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape robust compliance practices within a respected UK firm and contribute to the firm’s risk management culture.

- 35-hour working week with core hours 10am-4pm

Responsibilities
- Complete ongoing monitoring due diligence procedures in line with AML regulations
- Perform KYC research using third-party tools and assess potential risks
- Document and analyze KYC information to validate client data and assess client risk
- Proactively obtain missing information by engaging stakeholders
- Maintain high accuracy and adherence to prescribed processes
Key requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role or transferable skills
- Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and onboarding procedures
- Experience dealing with senior staff/partners to achieve outcomes
- Ability to work independently and apply prior learnings
- Excellent communication and internal relationship management skills
- Proficiency with IT applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong literacy/numeracy with meticulous attention to detail
