Public Relations & Communications Manager

Overview

In this role you will shape external communications for Kraken’s pro trading, derivatives, and institutional products. You will lead the development of an integrated strategy that aligns with product goals and broadens the brand among professional audiences. You’ll build executive messaging, spokespeople, and content that explains complex trading topics and market infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to reach new institutional audiences and leverage social media to enhance media relations. This position offers a meaningful chance to influence the crypto communications landscape at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an external communications strategy for pro trading, derivatives, and institutional segments
• Expand Kraken’s thought leadership with professional and institutional audiences
• Build and refine spokespeople and messaging at executive, product, and segment levels
• Prepare communications materials for professional audiences (announcements, talking points, media statements, pitches)
• Cultivate connections with institutional partners, trading desks, market data providers, agencies, and cross-functional teams
• Apply social media-first thinking to media relations and content targeting professional traders and institutions
• Handle additional duties as assigned

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in leading and executing communications programs
• Crypto industry experience preferred
• Outstanding writing, editing, and communications strategy skills
• Hands-on ability to translate complex topics for senior leaders
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and managing complex communications challenges
• Experience partnering with executives to enhance presence, messaging, and presentation skills
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading, mentoring and scaling communications teams
