Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver nuclear safety case work within AECOM’s nuclear portfolio, collaborating with civil and defence teams on multi-disciplinary projects from concept to commissioning. You will mentor teammates, liaise with clients and regulators, and shape safe, compliant solutions that support project success. This is a growth-focused position in a dynamic team working on high-profile nuclear initiatives with broad lifecycle exposure. You’ll contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, enabling safer, safer and more efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety case delivery on projects within the nuclear portfolio (civil and defence)
  • Support bid/tender activities related to nuclear safety
  • Develop client relationships to ensure right-first-time technical delivery
  • Advise on regulatory compliance, standards, and guidance
  • Support interactions with regulators and safety committees
  • Mentor and coach the nuclear safety case team; deliver nuclear safety training
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary knowledge sharing and keep up with new developments
  • Support the full project lifecycle from concept to commissioning (design, procurement, installation, site acceptance)

Key requirements

  • Experience developing nuclear safety cases in civil and/or defence sectors
  • Mentoring, training, and coaching experience
  • Demonstrated competency per SQEP framework
  • Ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
  • Honours/Masters in STEM or equivalent nuclear industry experience
