Overview

In this role you drive a Zero Harm culture across the offshore wind lifecycle, from development to decommissioning, in a fast-growing, high-risk environment. You lead a team of HSE specialists, influence stakeholders, and support critical projects to ensure safe, compliant operations. You partner with senior leaders to embed best practices across the UK and Ireland portfolio, shaping a safer, more resilient renewable energy business. You will travel regularly to assets and project sites to support field teams and respond to needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Health and Safety Specialists
  • Drive the Zero Harm ambition across the offshore wind portfolio
  • Provide health and safety support across the full asset lifecycle
  • Promote safe working practices and visible safety leadership
  • Support risk and hazard management, including design and construction reviews
  • Deliver audits, inspections and assurance across UK and Ireland assets
  • Support contractor assessment, onboarding and performance management
  • Lead safety initiatives to improve behavioural and cultural performance
  • Collaborate across business units to share best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Support emergency preparedness arrangements across operations and projects

Key requirements

  • Experience across offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and storage assets is desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of Irish legislation/regulation is desirable
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Chartered IOSH membership or progress towards CMIOSH status
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards and risk management in industrial/engineering/operational environments
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland to support assets and project locations
