Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies for construction, infrastructure or professional services projects
  • Manage tenders, including evaluation and documentation (business cases, procurement plans, contract recommendations)
  • Provide commercial advice and guidance across the procurement lifecycle
  • Lead elements of project delivery and engage directly with clients
  • Coordinate inputs from internal specialists and support wider growth of procurement advisory function
  • Present findings to clients and help build long-term relationships

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in procurement within the built environment
  • CIPS/ MCIPS qualification
  • Ability to draft procurement strategies, tender documents and evaluation reports
  • Knowledge of regulated procurement environments (Public Contracts Regulations or Utilities Contracts Regulations)
  • Understanding of contract forms including NEC, JCT and FIDIC
  • Comfort advising clients and guiding projects through the procurement lifecycle
