Overview

In this role you will support a Gates Foundation project on poliovirus detection and contribute to broader poliovirus transmission interruption efforts. You will liaise across internal teams and external partners, manage administrative and financial tasks, and help ensure timely reporting and governance. You will work with the Vaccine Epidemiology Research Group to enable impactful infectious disease research at a world-leading institution. Responsibilities

  • Track progress of project working groups and coordinate travel and meetings including steering and annual meetings
  • Maintain constant communication with the project PI and Senior Project Manager
  • Take minutes, summarise action points, and ensure follow-up
  • Facilitate contract setup with project partners
  • Assist in preparation of ethical approval protocols as needed
  • Support senior project manager with financial management and forecasting
  • Horizon scan to identify new stakeholders and funding opportunities

Key requirements

  • Master’s degree in an area related to infectious diseases or global health or extensive relevant administrative experience
  • Experience managing international collaborative research projects and/or administrative activities with financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
