Overview
In this role you lead complex regeneration programmes for Gateshead, translating strategy into delivery across large-scale capital projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary workstreams, manage schedules and governance, and partner with public and private stakeholders to unlock investment and sustainable growth. You’ll operate in a fast-paced environment within the Economy, Innovation and Growth Group to deliver tangible improvements for the urban core. Responsibilities
- Lead the full programme lifecycle from business case to delivery and transition into operation
- Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule with clear critical path and milestones
- Integrate inputs from technical, planning, commercial, procurement and finance into a coherent plan
- Coordinate internal and external delivery partners to ensure alignment and robust commercial scrutiny
- Support governance and assurance processes to meet standards and funding requirements
- Identify and escalate programme-level risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies with timely intelligence
- Engage Members, partners and stakeholders to support informed decision-making
- Build and lead high-performing programme teams with a focus on collaboration and delivery

- Capital programme and regeneration knowledge
- Experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programmes through full lifecycle
- Financial and commercial understanding of large-scale capital funding
- Governance, assurance, risk management and programme controls experience
